Organist Mark DeAlba to perform at Ransdell

Mark DeAlba will perform at Campbellsville University's noon organ series Tuesday, October 12, 2010, at 12:20pmET/11:20amCT. The event is free and open to the public. It will take place in the university's Ransdell Chapel, located at 401 North Hoskins AV, Campbellsville. KY

DeAlba is an organist from Stanford Christian Church in Stanford, KY, and he is currently a senior at Paul Laurence Dunbar High School in Lexington He began studying piano at age six, and the organ at age eight.



DeAlba will perform organ works by Richard Freese, J.S. Bach, James Biery and Guy Ropartz.

He has studied with John Linker, choirmaster at Good Shepherd Episcopal in Lexington, KY, and currently studies with Clif Cason, director of Maxwell Street Presbyterian, Lexington, KY.

DeAlba plans to major in organ when he begins college in the fall of 2011.
