Thank God for such fine Kentucky friends

Writer says their neighbors are true assets to Columbia
About: Danna Lott with the five foot memorial mum

By Judith Getchell

My husband and I are new to the Columbia community. Since the first time we met Marge Gal and Danna Lott over four months ago, they have shown us true caring southern hospitality.

One Friday morning Danna climbed up on our roof to give us a listening ear as we shared the problems we were having with a leaking roof.

Our dog got bitten twice in a month by snakes, and Danna made herself available both times to assist in the care of the dog.

After working two jobs this past Wednesday morning, both Marge and Danna came to our house to help seal our 300 foot long driveway.

We thank God for giving us such fine Kentucky friends. Marge and Danna are true assets to your Columbia community.
