Obituary: Mrs. Zelmodean W. Nunn, 75 Green Co., KY

She made many friends along her way. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. She was a retired employee for Fruit of the Loom, Inc. where she worked as a machine operator

Mrs. Zelmodean W. Nunn of Greensburg, KY, departed this life on Sunday, October 03, 2010 at the Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville, KY.

The funeral service will be at 1pmCT, Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at the Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home Chapel, 206 S. Main ST, Greensburg, KY, with interment at Altman Cemetery, W. Buckner Hill RD, Greensburg, KY. Visitation: Visitation will be from 4pm-9pmCT, Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at the funeral home and after 7amCT., Wednesday until time of the funeral service.



Pallbearers: Grandsons, Terry Neagle, andDonnie Edwards. Honorary: Her many friends.

Mrs. Zelmodean W. Nunn, Green Co., KY (1935-2010)

Mrs. Zelmodean W. Nunn of Greensburg, KY, daughter of the late Jim Akin and Novie Altman Akin, was born on Tuesday, March 12, 1935 in Green Co., KY and departed this life on Sunday, October 03, 2010 at the Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville, Taylor Co., KY. She was 75 years, 6 months and 21 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. She was a retired employee for Fruit of the Loom, Inc. where she worked as a machine operator.

She united in marriage to Loran Lile Nunn on November 18, 1972 who survives.Other survivors include the following:
  • Three daughters and two sons-in-law: Reva and Robert Shockeney of Greensburg, KY; Marcia Edwards of Campbellsville, KY; Mary and Elmer Durham of Campbellsville, KY

  • A son and daughter-in-law: Wilbert Dean and Trina Edwards of Summersville, KY

  • Four step-children: Steve Nunn and his wife Ann, Debbie Wilcoxson and her husband Jerry all of Greensburg, KY; Paulette Nunn and Pam Nunn both of Indiana

  • Seven grandchildren: Brandon Mann of Lexington, KY; Jamie Caven of Summersville, KY; Jeremy Mann, and Jason Mann both of Campbellsville, KY; Derrick Edwards of Lexington, KY; Denina Edwards of Summersville, KY; and Dana Edwards of Paducah, KY

  • Six great-grandchildren: Jesslynne, Haley, Lillian, Cole, Sophie, and Briley

  • Two sisters: Nancy Cowan of Louisville, KY; and Eudora Neagle of Greensburg, KY

  • Six step-children

  • Four step-great grandchildren

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
Memorials are suggested to the Altman Cemetery, which can be made at the funeral home.

The Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 206 S. Main ST, Greensburg, KY, in charge of arrangements.
