He was a member of a highly regarded Cumberland Co., KY family. He was an oil and gas contractor and a farmer. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

Obituary: William (Bud) Radford, 81, of Burkesville, KY, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2010, at Cumberland County Hospital, Burkesville, KY.

The funeral service will be at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Burkesville, KY, at 2pmCT, on Wednesday, October 6, 2010, with Burial in the Parrish Chapel Cemetery. Visitation on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 after 3pmCT at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home in Burkesville, KY.



William (Bud) Radford, Burkesville, KY (1929-2010)

He was born in Cumberland County, Kentucky on Thursday, August 22, 1929. He was a son of the late Faye (Hicks) and George Radford. He died Sunday, October 3, 2010, in Burkesville, Cumberland Co., KY at the age of 81 years, 1 months, and 11 days.He was a Gas & Oil Contractor and farmer. He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War.

He was united in marriage to Ermon Doris Radford Cumberland Co,, KY, on May 30, 1953.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister and one brother, Justina Lewis and Tommy Radford.

Survivors include the following:
  • His wife: Ermon Myers Radford of Burkesville, KY

  • Two sons: Doug Radford and his wife Ester , of Burkesville, KY; and Tony Radford and his friend Teresa of Burkesville, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Dylan Radford, and Autumn Radford

  • Two step grandchildren: Brian Nation and Chasity Patterson

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
