Adair Co. Marching Band
takes top honors at Hodgenville, KY - AGAIN!


ACHS Marching Band takes Top Honors again at the Lincoln Days Invitation Marching Band Festival in Hodgenville, Saturday, October 2, 2010. Link to video, list of honors, below

The Adair County Marching Band took top honors at the Lincoln Days Invitational last night in LaRue County.

The band won the following:



  • First Place in Class AAA
  • Best ColorGuard Class AAA
  • and Best Percussion Class AAA in the preliminary stage of the competition
During the finals portion of the evening the Adair County Marching Band won the following:
  • Best Overall Musical Performance
  • Best Overall General Effect
  • Best Overall Visual
  • Best Overall Percussion
  • Best Overall ColorGuard
  • Grand Champion!
There were 11 bands in total competing for these honors.

If you would like to come out and support the Adair County Marching Band at their next competition, it will be on October 16, 2010, at Marion County High School, 735 East Main Street, Lebanon, KY.

Also, the students will be having a March-A-Thon on Friday, October 8, 2010, from 6pm to 6amCT to raise money for their Bands of America National Competition in November.

Everyone is welcome to come out to the practice field at and watch! If you are approached by a student for help, please support these great kids who work hard to continue the tradition of excellence! -Shamarie Claiborne
