Two drivers airlifted to UL Hospital following Marion collision

Marion Co., KY - Trooper Fred Cornett is investigating a collision that occurred September 30, 2010, at 7:55amET., 2 miles north of Lebanon, KY, on Shortline Pike.

The collision occurred when a 2001 Dodge, being operated by Caleb Clark, age 16, of Lebanon, KY, was traveling northbound when his vehicle crossed the centerline and struck a 2001 Chevy van being operated by Shane Mason, age 39, also of Lebanon, KY.

Neither Clark or Mason were belted at the time of the collision and both were flown to the University of Louisville for their injuries. Trooper Cornett was assisted at the scene by Marion County EMS and the Lebanon Fire Department.
