Obituary: Jerry Dean Riggins, 66, Windsor, KY

He was a member of the Cedar Springs Baptist Church and was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a glass installer for Rogers Glass & Aluminum of Russell Co., KY

Jerry Dean Riggins, 66, Hwy 910, Windsor, KY, died Tuesday, September 28, 2010, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY.

The private graveside service with burial to follow, will be Thursday, September 30, 2010 at 10amCT, at the Cedar Springs Cemetery, with Bro. Harold Wright officiating. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Wednesday, September 29, 2010, at Bernard Funeral Home, 367 Main ST, Russell Springs, KY.



Pallbearers will be Steven Davis, Jeffery Meeks, John Aaron, Alan Pierce, Jerry Casey, and Wayne Denney.

Jerry Dean Riggins, Casey Co., KY, native (1944-2010)

He was the son of the late Ersie Thomas Riggins and Avery Riggins. He was born in Casey Co., KY on on April 3, 1944, and died in Somerset, Pulaski Co., KY, on Tuesday September 28, 2010, at the age of 66 years, 5 months, and 25 days.

He was a glass installer for Rogers Glass and Aluminum and was a member of the Cedar Springs Baptist Church. He was a veteran of U.S. Army service in the Vietnam War.

He is survived by the following:
  • One son: Joe Dean Riggins, Nancy, KY

  • Two sisters: Dixie Davis and Pansy Malone, both of Russell Springs, KY

  • One brother: Donovan Riggins, Cynthiana, KY

  • One special niece: Donna Davis Aaron, Greensburg, KY

  • Several other nieces and nephews
Bernard Funeral Home, 367 Main ST, Russell Springs, KY, in charge of arrangements.
