Alfred "King Al" Blackman, Jr. of Campbellsville, KY died at 1:58pmET, Monday, September 27, 2010, in Elizabethtown, KY.

Funeral service will be at 5:30pmET/4:30CT, Wednesday, September 29, 2010, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 429 N Central AV, Campbellsville by Rev. James Bromwich. Visitation after 3pmET/2pmCT, Wednesday, September 29, 2010, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery.

Alfred "King Al" Blackman, Jr. (1970 - 2010)

Alfred "King Al" Blackman, Jr. was the son of Mary E. McVay Russell and Alfred Willis Blackman, Sr. He was born in Biloxi, MS on Friday, October 9, 1970. He died Monday, September 27, 2010, in Elizabethtown, Hardin Co., KY at the age of 39 years, 11 months, and 18 days.

He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.

He is survived by the following:
  • His mother: Mary E. Russell of Campbellsville, KY

  • His father and step-mother: Al, Sr. and Teresa Blackman of Ocean Springs, MS<

  • One brother and one sister: Jimmy Russell and wife, Angela of Campbellsville, KY; and Megan Elizabeth Blackman of Ocean Springs, MS

  • Step-grandparents: Joe and Maureen Russell of Texas

  • Three nephews and one niece: Clayton Russell, II, Jimmy Russell, Jr. Austin Belt and Mary Russell

  • Several aunts, uncles and many other relatives and friends
He was preceded in death by his step-father, Clayton Howard "Howie" Russell and grandparents: Stewart and Elizabeth McVay, Laura Mae Bryant and Elijah Blackman.
