News from Adair Co. High School Marching Band


The Bands of America Regional Championship was held in Louisville at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium on September 25th, where the Adair County Marching Band captured four awards in competition:


  1. Regional First Place Class A
  2. Second Place, Overall, in Finals Competition
  3. Class A Best Visual,
  4. Class A Best General Effect in preliminary competition
With the high caliber of participants from five states that competed this weekend, this accomplishment is a great honor and the Adair County Band Boosters could not be prouder of the students who have put in hundreds of hours of hard work preparing.

The Adair County Marching Band will be competing next Saturday, October 2, 2010, at Hodgenville, KY, in the Lincoln Days Invitational Band Contest atLaRue County High School, 925 S. Lincoln BLVD, Hodgenville, KY. The competition will begin at 12:30pmET/11:30pmCT. Adair County will perform at 1:45pmET/12:45pmCT. If you go: Larue County High School is approximately 45 miles north of Adair Co. High School, 526 Indian DR, Columbia, KY, via KY 61 through Greensburg, KY.-Shamarie Claiborne
