Likes our little town just the way it is About: Unsolicited thoughts Old paving should be removed. Ground. Reused, To ColumbiaMagazine.com: I'd like to recall our memory to the resurfacing of the public square not long ago. Crews spent many hours during off peak times to grind up and remove the old asphalt from the square and the streets approaching it. This was done in order to make a smoother surface without the extra build up. Many times I have seen workers removing asphalt on Columbia streets. I know sometimes we see something being done somewhere else and we think why can't we do that here. The fact is many times we do. Although our little town might not be as fancy as others, I like it the way it is. Thank You, s/Mark Hale This story was posted on 2010-09-24 16:47:14
