News from Campbellsville University

Members of Campbellsville University Technology Training Centers (CUTTC) first class of students recently passed their national certification examination and received phlebotomy technician certifications.

The students are Teresa Dodrill of Columbia, KY; and Carol Guiterrez, Keisha Robertson, James Richerson, Cynthia Akin, Brenda Sutton, Natalie Byers and John Barke, all of Campbellsville, KY.

The tests were taken through the National Center for Competency Training.

The phlebotomy training is a 125-hour course that includes clinical hours. The instructor was Debbie Glasscock, medical lab technician.

Dodrill said her training at CUTTC was a great experience and said that the facility where she did her clinical called and asked her if she could fill in a couple of days while their lab technician was on vacation.
