Obituary: Kenneth Peedlum Wright, Green Co., KY

He was a member and a deacon at Greensburg Separate Baptist Church. He was co-owner of Wright's Ashland in Greensburg, KY, where he was a mechanic for 20 years

Mr. Kenneth "Peedlum" Wright, 73, of Greensburg, KY, departed this life on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at the Kindred Hospital in Louisville, KY.

The funeral services for Mr. Kenneth "Peedlum" Wright were conducted at 1pmCT, Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main ST, Greensburg, KY, with burial in the Bethlehem Cemetery. Bro. Dan Perkins and Bro. Charlie Warren officiated.



Pallbearers: Taylor Wright, Eddie Wright, Jeff Wright, Mike Compton, Troy Wright, Travis Wright.

Mr. Kenneth "Peedlum" Wright, Green Co., KY (1936-2010)

Mr. Kenneth "Peedlum" Wright, was the son of the late Cecil Clarence Wright and Flossie Mae Cantrell Wright. He was born on Tuesday, November 10, 1936 in Green Co, KY and departed this life on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at the Kindred Hospital in Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY. He was 73 years, 10 months and eight days of age.He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Separate Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was also co-owner of Wrights Ashland in Greensburg where he worked as a mechanic for 20 years.

He united in marriage to Mary Francis Bradshaw on July 12, 1958 who survives.

Other survivors include the following:
  • Two sons and two daughters-in-law: Ricky and Diane Wright of Greensburg, KY; and Bobby and Christina Wright of Greensburg, KY

  • A daughter and son-in-law: Fran and Kenny Posey of Greensburg, KY

  • Three brothers and sisters-in-law: Cecil "Teddy" and Christine Wright, Charles "Jim" and Judell Wright, and Bill and Connie Wright all of Greensburg, KY

  • Three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Eva and George Gilpin, Ann and Jack Compton, and Nancy Compton all of Greensburg, KY

  • Eleven grandchildren

  • Seven great-grandchildren

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
Mr. Wright was also preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.

Honorary pallbearers: Greensburg Separate Baptist Church Members.

Memorials are suggested to the Gideon Bible Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.The Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main ST, Greensburg, KY in charge of arrangements.
