AC Garden Club has big trip to Pulaski, Russell Counties, KY Club Members: Pick apples at Haney's Orchard. Buy Boston Ferns. Visit pumpkin patch. Eat at Lee's Ford. And come back to Columbia raring to get ready for Downtown Days, where they will be established in the Food Court, with that famous Apple Butter, lots of other delectable treats, and will even talk Adair County Garden Club Membership with (qualified) prospects. By M.E. Lewis News from the Adair County Garden Club The Adair County Garden Club is still around and out having a really good time together. Today we met at the Trabue house at 9:30amCT and went apple picking at Haney's Appledale Farm. Then we loaded up and went to Lee's Ford Marina for some good eats and good conversation. Then we were on the road again down KY 80 to KY 837 and to a small business with old things and new things where several of the ladies bought some beautiful large Boston Ferns and off again we went to a pumpkin farm in Russell Springs to purchase some pumpkins to decorate and to make pumpkin treats to eat. We were back at the Trabue House some time after 3pmCT. If anyone is interested in joining the Garden Club come by our booth at "Down Town Days." We are in the Food Court this year serving up some good things to eat. Yes we will be selling the apple butter this year but in larger jars and you get to sample it before you buy. See Ya There!!!!!!!!! This story was posted on 2010-09-21 16:26:34
