The First Adair Co. Singing Convention Is Profound

Mrs. Raymond Martin is to be commended for her fine arrangements of performance schedules for the participants of the convention.

By E.H. Lepiarczyk II

The first Adair County Singing Convention was an enjoyable experience for one of the participants, Mr. Erwin Heinrich Lepiarczyk II.

The Convention was Sunday, September 19, at five churches: The Columbia-Union Presbyterian Church, Victory Community Church, Columbia Christian Church, Haven Mission Independent Church, Columbia Baptist Church; and in the courtroom of the Adair County Courthouse.

The Convention was held to raise funds for the preservation and operation of the historic courthouse.

Mr. Lepiarczyk, accompanied on the piano by Ms. Suzy Grey, sang The Lord's Prayer, Ave Maria, Deep River, Let There Be Peace on Earth, Shall We Gather at the River, When the Roll Is Called Up Yonder, and I Want Jesus to Walk with Me. in his repertoire of sacred songs.

Mr. Lepiarczyk represented the Church of the Good Shepherd during his participation in the Convention.

Mrs. Raymond Martin is commended for her fine arrangements of the performance schedules for the participants in the Convention.

The Columbia-Union Presbyterian Church served splendid refreshments for participants in the Convention.

Mrs. J. D. Zornes photographed participants in the Columbia Baptist Church.

The Adair County Singing Convention was a most profound religious, cultural, and historic occasion sponsored by the Adair Heritage Association. E.H. Lepiarczyk II
