Injury accident investigated by Tpr. Cornett of Post 15 By TFC Billy Gregory, Public Affairs Officer Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY Trooper Fred Cornett is investigating a collision that occurred at the junction of Highway 555 and Highway 53 in Washington Co., KY, today, Friday, September 17, 2010 at approximately 5:10pmET. David Platt, 18 years of age, of Springfield, KY, was operating a 2000 Ford. Platt was attempting to turn onto Highway 555 and pulled into the path of a 1992 GMC, which was being operated by Charles Kingston. Kingston, age 54, of Springfield, KY and one passenger, Shirley Kingston, age 43, of Willisburg, KY, were both treated for minor injuries at the scene by Washington County EMS.
