Obituary: Rick Bailey, 56, Adair Co., KY

He was a member of the Free Union Separate Baptist Church and was a member of the Gospel group God's Children. He was a salesman for Alton Blakley Honda in Somerset, KY. He was a US Navy veteran and will be accorded full military honors by VFW Post 6097.

Rick Bailey, age 56 years of Sulphur Creek Road, Columbia, KY, passed away suddenly Thursday, September 16, 2010 at his home.

The funeral service will be Sunday, September 19, 2010 at 2pmCT at Stotts- Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Jim Goff and Bro. Wendell Hadley officiating. Interment will be in the New Hope Cemetery, 131 New Hope Church RD, Columbia, KY, with full military honors presented by VFW Post 6097. The family request visiting after 4pmCT on Saturday, September 18, 2010, at at the funeral home.



Rick Bailey, Adair Co., KY (1953-2010)

Rick Bailey was the son of Dewey and Glenna Redmon Bailey. He was born Thursday, October 8, 1953 in Elizabethtown, Hardin Co., KY, and died Thursday, September 16, 2010, in Columbia, Adair Co., KY, at the age of 56 years, 11 months, and 8 days.

He is survived by the following:
  • His parents: Dewey and Glenna Redmon Bailey of Columbia, KY

  • Three sons: Zack Bailey of Bowling Green, KY, Alex Bailey and wife Joie of Lexington, KY; and Cody Bailey of Columbia, KY

  • One daughter: Ashley Noyola and husband Javier of Jamestown, KY

  • One brother: Danny Bailey of Columbia, KY

  • Three grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, relatives and a host of friends.
Mr. Bailey was a member of the Free Union Separate Baptist Church, a US Navy veteran, a salesman for Alton Blakley Honda in Somerset, KYand a member of the gospel group God's Children.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
