Obituary: Johnnie Frank Darnell, 73, Adair Co., KY

He was a member of a large, respected South Adair County family. He attended Hutchison Community Church

Johnnie Frank Darnell age 73 years of 935 Carrie Bolin DR, Columbia, KY, passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at 8:30pmET at Casey County Hospital in Liberty, KY, after an illness.

The funeral service Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 2pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Larry Brown, Bro. Ralph Hadley and Bro. David Coffey the officiating clergy. Interment will be in the Stone Cemetery, 387 Stone Cemetery RD, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 2pmCT, Friday, September 17, 2010.



Johnnie Frank Darnell, Adair Co., KY (1937-2010)

He was the son of the late Francis Lee and Amanda Frances Harvey Darnell. He was born on Thursday, April 1, 1937, and died Wednesday, September 15, 2010, in Liberty, Casey Co., KY, at the age of 73 years, 5 months, and 14 days.

He was preceded in death by one sister and one brother, Sarah Reliford and Denver Darnell.

He is survived by his wife, Nadine Darnell, of Columbia, KY.and by the following:
  • Four nephews

  • Two nieces

  • Several great nephews and great nieces

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
Mr. Darnell attended Hutchison Community Church.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
