Hoovers explore old homeplace at Chance, KY

By Veronica Hoover FowlerAfter attending the Annual Hoover Family Reunion in Russell Springs, KY on September 5, 2010, in the Community Room at the new Auditorium at Russell County High School in Russell Springs, KY, for all persons related to the late George Alexander "Elix" Hoover and Laura Earls Hoover, members of the Adair County Hoover clan made a pilgrimage the next day to the house in Chance, KY, where Leonard Hoover, father of the photographer, Lory Hoover Bennett, and Zela Hoover Bennett grew up.

These pictures accompanying this article were taken on Labor Day, Monday, September 6, 2010, when we all went to visit the old Hoover house and we all enjoyed a wonderful picnic and exploring the old homestead.

The Old Homeplace: After attending the Annual Hoover Family Reunionin Russell Springs, KY on September 5, 2010, members of the Adair County Hoover clan made a pilgrimmage the next day, to the house in Chance, KY, where Leonard Hoover, father of the photographer, Lory Hoover Bennett, and Zela Hoover Bennett grew up. The Adair County Hoovers had a wonderful time exploring the old homestead and enjoyed a picnic there.
