KSP to test new trooper applicants in Richmond, KY by Lt. David Jude, KY state Police FRANKFORT, Ky. (Sep. 13, 2010) - The Kentucky State Police announces testing for trooper applicants will be held the week of October 18, 2010 at the Department of Criminal Justice Training located on the campus of Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, KY. KSP applicants must be 21 years of age, a U.S. citizen, in good health and possess a valid driver's license with no more than six driver demerit points. Applicants must also possess a minimum of 60 semester hours or an associate's degree from an accredited college or university or be a high school graduate with at least two years of either active military duty or experience as a full-time, sworn law enforcement officer. Interested applicants should visit the Kentucky State Police website for more information and to download the application. Please go to www.kentuckystatepolice.org and click on Career Opportunities then Recruitment Home. Anyone interested in obtaining more information after visiting the website can call 1-866-360-3165 during office hours from 8am-4:30pm(ET), 7am-3:30pmCT, Monday through Friday, or leave a message any other time.
