Obituary: James Samuel Collins, Sr., 85 Columbia, KY James Samuel Collins, Sr., was a member of Southside Church of Christ, a self-employed businessman, operating Collins Upholstery Shop for over 60 years. He was a devoted husband, father and brother and will be missed by everyone who knew him. On September 7, 2010, at 4:08amCT, James Samuel Collins, Sr., went home to be with his heavenly Father. The funeral service for Mr. James Samuel Collins, Sr., will be Friday, September 10, 2010 at 1:30pmCT at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia KY with Hugh Gannon and Rev. Kenny Jessee officiating. Burial will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty RD, Columbia, KY, with full military honors presented by VFW Post 6097. Visitation will be after 4pmCT, Thursday, September 9, 2010 at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home. His grandchildren and great grandchildren will be casket bearers and honorary casket bearers. James Samuel Collins, Sr., Adair Co., KY (1924-2010) He was born Wednesday, December 10, 1924, to M.V. and Nona Florence McFarland Collins, and died Tuesday, September 7, 2010, at the age of 85 years, 8 months, and 28 days. He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings; Charlie Tate, Hugh "Buck", Marie Collins, Joe Collins, Sr., Preston Collins, W.T. (Bill) Collins, Robert (Bob) Collins. Also he was preceded in death by a son, James Samuel Collins, Jr., in January, 2010 and a great-grandchild, Ashton Lynn Collins on March 18, 2008.Mr. Collins is survived by his wife of 55 years, Edra (Bobbie) Nell Jessee Collins, and the following:
