Glasgow, Summer Shade men charged in homicide

Pair of 22 year olds arrested in connection with death of 68 year old Tompkinsville, KY man. Jessie Parke of Summer Shade awaiting extradition from Myrtle Beach, SC. On Monday, August 30 2010, two men were arrested on charges that led to the death of 68-year-old Thomas M. Martin of Tompkinsville, KY.


  • 22-year-old Jonathan Young of Glasgow, KY was arrested at approximately 12pmCT, by KSP Detective Mike Dubree and was charged with Complicity to Commit Murder, Complicity to Commit Arson and Complicity to Commit Burglary 1st Degree.
  • 22-year-old Jessie Parke of Summer Shade, KY was also arrested and charged with Murder, Arson and Burglary 1st Degree. Parke was arrested by the U.S. Marshal's Service in Myrtle Beach, SC at approximately 5pmCT and is awaiting extradition back to Kentucky with no immediate timetable set for his return.
KSP was assisted by the U.S. Marshall's service, Monroe County Sheriff's Office, Tompkinsville Police Department and local Firefighters.

The case remains under investigation by KSP Detective Mike Dubree of Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY.
