Outstanding performers in win over Taylor Co. High School: Lawrence Brown, Jamie Warrington, Jon Hansel, Jordan Shelton, Kanassia Thompson, Tyler McGaha, and Derek Grant

By Coach Eric Graves
Adair County High School Football Coach

You can be proud of your football Indians as they took on the Taylor County Cardinals Friday night. They worked hard to come from behind at the half to win 20-19.

Some of the standout players in the game were:
  • Seniors: Lawrence Brown, Jamie Warrington, Jon Hansel, Jordan Shelton
  • Juniors - Kanassia Thompson, Tyler McGaha
  • Sophomore: Derek Grant
Each player on the team played a major role in the victory but due to the position they play they may not get featured. Make no mistake: They are all very important.

These young men will be working hard this week in order to make the community proud this coming at 7pm CT, Friday night, August 27, 2010, as we take on Caverna High School at ACHS Field, 623 Indian DR, Columbia, KY, GO INDIANS!!!

ACHS Football coaches chauffeur Outdoor Expo guests

Guests at the Outdoor Expo may think the permanent smiles on ACHS Head Coach Eric Graves', left and Coach Robbie Shelton's faces are just for them. They are for the guests, but the smiles started Friday night as the Adair County Indians started a perfect, unbeaten season by defeating Taylor Co. High School 20-19. Coach Graves said it was no surprise. "Actually," he said, "we started the year expecting to win every game," seemingly unaware of the enormous pressure this puts on crosstown Coach Chris Oliver and President Bill Luckey in the Blue debut on Saturday, September 4, 2010 in their opening game. The coaches finished last night's duties at 3amCT, Saturday morning, but were more than doing their part to make Outdoor Expo go smoothly, driving one of the four carts shuttling Expo visitors to Adair County Elementary School from the Adair County High School parking lot. The Expo continues today, Saturday, August 21, 2010, until 4pmCT. Admission is free.
