I was in a bad car wreck in 1984 and was left with pretty bad scars. Although those scars were on the outside and they hurt very bad,. the scars that I remember the most were the ones left on the inside.

The scars that were on the inside came from bullies who made fun of me for being too skinny, my scars, being homebound for one year, and so on.

I had to deal with this all the way through high school.

I was only 12 when this accident happened and I no longer have bad memories of that day, but I still carry those harsh words spoken by my classmates.

I have endured such comments as "She can't be right because she was in that car wreck."

I had endured many injuries from that auto accident but they never hurt as bad as the words that were spoken to me throughout school.

Iwant to help any child who is being bullied.

By the way, to all of you who thought that I was "slow" because of that auto accident" I graduated with a 3.8 GPA in my Associates in Business Arts and a 3.6 GPA in my B/A of Psychology and now I am in my Masters Program and doing quite well for myself.

Life is hard enough without the struggles added from a bully and the mean words that stay with you for many years to come. -JBH
