Drivers in two vehicle Marion Co., KY, collision injured

Lebanon, KY - Trooper Donnie Moses is investigating a two vehicle collision that occurred Saturday afternoon, August 21, 2010, at 2:36pmET five miles East of Lebanon, KY, on US 68. Brenda Sargent, age 45 of Gravel Switch, KY, was traveling East on US 68 in a 2000 Ford van when she crossed into the West bound lane of traffic.



Sargent's vehicle struck a 2008 Pontiac G6 being operated by Virginia Shearer, age 62 of Gravel Switch. Shearer ran off the roadway attempting to avoid the collision.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and were transported to Springview Hospital, Lebanon, KY, with non-life threatening injuries.

Trooper Moses was assisted at the scene by Marion County EMS, Marion County Rescue, and the Gravel Switch Fire Department.
