Obituary: Mrs. Ruby Wright, 80, Green Co., KY

She was member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. She was an employee of Fruit of the Loom for 35 years

Mrs. Ruby Arlene Gardner Wright, 80, Greensburg, KY, departed this life Sunday, August 15, 2010 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg, KY, having attained the age of eighty years, eight months and fourteen days.

The funeral service will be at 11amCT, Wednesday, August 18, 2010, at the Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 West Court ST, Greensburg, KY with Rev. Kevin Brantly the officiating clergy. Burial will be in the Greensburg Cemetery. Visitation is after 7amCT, Wednesday, August 18, 2010.



Pallbearers: Darrell Smith, Gary Smith, Troy Davis, Jeff Davis, Corey Davis, and Justin Smith.

Honorary pallbearers: Union Underwear Unit 6046, William Lee Milby, Doug Despain, Bertie and Larry Clark, Gordan Judd, Rebecca Davis, Nettie Creason, Pleasant Ridge Church members.

Mrs. Ruby Arlene Gardner Wright, Green Co., KY (1929-2010)

Mrs. Ruby Arlene Gardner Wright was born December 1, 1929 in Green Co, KY to the late Paul Revere Gardner and Eva Hortense Akin. She departed this life Sunday, August 15, 2010 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg, Green Co., KY, having attained the age of 80 years, 8 months and 14 days.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. She was employed at Union Underwear for thirty-five years. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one son William Lane Wright, one sister Barbara Jean Gardner and one grandson Matthew Scott Wright.

Mrs. Wright is survived by her husband, Rollin Simmons Wright, and the following:
  • One son: Wayne Wright (Rhonda) both of Greensburg, KY

  • Two sisters; Nancy Geraldine Gardner Atheason of Lexington, KY, and Elizabeth Ann Stroth of Crestwood, KY

  • One grand-daughter; Brittany Wright Judd (Todd R. Judd)

  • And one great grandson: Wyatt James Matthew Judd of Greensburg, KY
