84th Annual Branstetter Park Homecoming August 21- 22, 2010 REUNIONS The 84th Annual Branstetter Park Homecoming & Free Bluegrass Festival will be held Saturday, August 21 and Sunday, August 22, 2010 at Branstetter Park, 74 Branstetter Park Old Trace RD, Summer Shade, KY, located just SW of the Crossroads of Hwy 163 and 90 in Metcalfe County. On Saturday, April 22, 2010, there will be plenty of free Bluegrass music from 10am-5pmCT. Well-known Bluegrass promoter James Arnett will bring Stateline Bluegrass, Bluegrass Express, & Hub City Bluegrass/All shade tree pickers and singers are welcome. Concessions are available. Children's games with 3-legged race, sponge toss, tricycle and bicycle races, begin at 1:00pmCT. There will be arts and crafts, a fish dinner, horseshoes, checker tournaments. On Sunday, August 22, 2010, 10amCT.Lynnwood Montell will welcome the crowd. There will be a community worship service in the morning with lunch following. At the stop in Edmonton, KY, continue straight ahead on Tompkinsville RD, KY, and travel through Cedar Flat and Good Luck through the Crossroads of Tompkinsville RD and KY 90. Watch for Branstetter Park Old Trace RD on the right (west), and make a sharp right to Branstetter Park. It's about 32 miles. About 40-45 minutes through some of Kentucky's prettiest scenery.
