CU offers community opportunity to be in Concert Chorus

Concert Chorus concert, 'An Afternoon with the Psalmist,' will be presented on Sunday, December 5, 2010 in Ransdell Chapel; rehearsals start Monday, August 23, 2010

CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY - Singers from the area are invited to be a part of the Campbellsville University Concert Chorus for the fall semester, according to David Johnson, conductor. Rehearsals will begin Monday, August 23, 2010, at 6pmET/5pmCT in the choral room of the Gosser Fine Arts Building, 210 University DR, Campbellsville, KY.



Johnson said the Concert Chorus will present an end of the semester program titled, "An Afternoon with the Psalmist" on Sunday afternoon, December 5, 2010, at 3pmET/2pmCT, in the Ransdell Chapel, 401 N. Hoskins AV, Campbellsville, KY.

The program this semester is based on Psalms and is represented by composers such as Rutter, Palestrina, Grotenhuis, Goeller and others.

Rehearsals will run approximately two hours, Johnson said.

There is no cost for community members to be a part of the chorus other than the purchase of the music which will be available at the first rehearsal.
