It is great to be a Columbian

A town where there are wonderful neighbors and friends when you need them

By Allen Owens

I was reminded today at how wonderful it is to be from Columbia, Kentucky.

Mr. Terry Dudley of the ALS Carwash behind Mike Stephens Pharmacy saw me washing my 1976 Mercury Monarch and came over to advise me how wonderful the pre-soak works to wash your car.

I have also been impressed at how much this community pulls together when we lose one of our own.

It was such a sad loss to lose Hillary Hadley in the horrible way that happened earlier this week, but the people of Columbia have pulled together for the Hadley Family.

In 1985 I was in a horrific accident here in Columbia which claimed the life of my best friend Robbie Hennessey. I was overwhelmed with support from the fine Christian Community that we live in.

I just wanted to say: Thank-you for being such wonderful neighbors and friends when people need you!
