KY 70 crash in Casey Co, KY results several injuries Driver airlifted to UK; cited to court for DUI; speed and alcohol considered factor. Three passengers taken to Casey County Hospital By TFC Billy Gregory, Public Affairs Officer Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY Casey County, KY - Trooper Bryan Shepard is investigating a single vehicle collision that occurred Saturday evening, August 14, 2010, at 7:05pmET, five miles West of Liberty on Ky 70. Rogelio Roman, age 46 of Lexington was traveling East on KY 70 in a 2001 Chevrolet Avalanche when he ran off the roadway, overcorrected and overturned, ejecting all occupants. Roman was not wearing a seatbelt, he was airlifted to the UK Medical Center. Three passengers in the vehicle: Brittany Smallwood, age 18 of Liberty, KY; Jon Scott, age 21 of Liberty, KY; and Ronnie Smith, age 21 of Liberty, KY, were admitted to the Casey County Hospital, Liberty, KY. None of the passengers were wearing a seatbelt. Speed and alcohol were a contributing factor to the collision. Roman was cited to court for DUI. Trooper Shepard was assisted at the scene by the Casey County Sheriffs Department, Casey County EMS, Liberty and Clementsville Fire Departments.
