Obituary: Beatrice E. Johnson, 80, Center, KY

She was a homemaker and was a member of the Shady Grove Baptist Church

Beatrice Euberta Johnson, age 80 of the Center community, died Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at her home.

Funeral services will be held 11amCT, Saturday, August 14, 2010 at Shady Grove Baptist Church, 1829 Center-Peggyville RD, Center, KY, with burial in the Houk Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4pm-8pmCT, Friday, August 13, 2010, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East ST, Edmonton, KY, and after 9amCT, Saturday, August 14, 2010, at the church.



She was the daughter of the late Lucian and Lucy Kinslow Trowbridge.

She was a homemaker and member of the Shady Grove Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Travis Johnson.

She is survived by the following:
  • One son: Stephen Johnson of Center, KY

  • Two daughters: Ramona (Gary) Rutherford of Knob Lick, KY, and Martha (Van) Shaw of Edmonton, KY

  • Three brothers: Bernell Trowbridge of Louisville, KY; Dalton Trowbridge of Horse Cave, KY; and Randal Trowbridge, Cave City, KY

  • One sister: Janus Fancher of Center

  • Five grandchildren

  • Seven great grandchildren

  • Several nieces and nephews
Butler Funeral Home, 201 East ST, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
