Candidates will draw for ballot position August 12, 2010

Adair County Court Clerk Sheila Blair has announced that the drawing for ballot positions for the Tuesday, November 2, 2010, General Election in Adair Co., KY, will be held at 2pmCT, Thursday, August 12, 2010, in her office in the Adair Annex, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY.

Candidates may participate in the drawing or send a representative to draw; or, if no one is present to represent the candidate, a member of the clerk's staff will draw for them. The time and date of the drawing is set by law as the Thursday after the second Tuesday in August.

The 2010 General Election is on the earliest possible day of the month, which is set by law to be held on the first Tuesday after the first Monday of November.
