Passenger extricated following crash
today in Campbellsville, KY


Entrapped passenger, driver both taken to TRH

One passenger had to be extricated and was taken to Taylor Regional Hospital (TRH) following a two-vehicle crash on East Broadway in Campbellsville, KY, at 2:20pmET, Saturday, August 7, 2010. The driver of the same vehicle was also transported to to TRH.

Donald C. Farmer, 77, of Campbellsville, KY, was operating a 2000 Chevrolet and was eastbound sitting in the left turn lane waiting to turn into the parking lot of the Kroger store, on East Broadway (US68) in Campbellsville, KY.



Christopher Middleton 34, of Liberty, KY, was operating a 1989 Dodge pickup westbound on Broadway.

The Middleton vehicle crossed the center line entered into the turn lane and struck the Farmer vehicle.

A passenger in the Middleton, vehicle Vicki Middleton, 46 of Liberty was entrapped and had to be extricated by Campbellsville-Taylor County Rescue. Both Christopher and Vicki Middleton were transported to the Taylor Regional Hospital, in Campbellsville, KY.

Campbellsville Police Department Patrolman Travis Begley was the investigating officer.
