Obituary: Kenneth D. Polston, 70, Adair Co., KY native

Kenneth D. Polston age 70 years of Iron River, WI, formerly of Adair County died Monday, August 2, 2010 in his home surrounded by his family.Visitation will begin at 12 noon until the 1pmCT funeral service on Monday, August 9, 2010 at the Iron River Presbyterian Church in Wisconsin, with Rev. H. Duane Aslyn officiating. Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home in Wisconsin in charge of funeral arrangements.

He was born on Tuesday, March 19, 1940 in Breeding, Adair Co., KY to Carley and Mary Davis Polston and died Monday, August 2, 2010, in Iron River, WI at the age of 70 years, 4 months, and 14 days.



He is survived by the following:
  • One son: Kevin Polston of Iron River, WI

  • One daughter: Kerrie Polston of Iron River, WI

  • Their mother: Karen Polston of Iron River, WI

  • Two grandchildren: Karen (Jared) Popp and Jacob Polston of Iron River, WI

  • One great-granddaughter: Abbi of WI

  • Three sisters: Della Ray Montgomery of Columbia, KY, Carol Cowan and husband Gene of Columbia, KY, Arlene Miller of Burlington, WI

  • Two brothers: Wallace Polston and wife Donna of Union Grove, WI and Willard Polston and wife Faye of Elkhorn, WI

  • Four sisters-in-law: Judy Polston of Cincinnati, OH, Bev Polston of Fort Wayne, IN; Norma Polston of Burlington, WI, and Barbara Painter and husband Dennis of MN

  • Three brothers-in-law: Harvey Willoughby of Esko, MN, Robert Willoughby and wife Julie of Racine, WI, Charles Fudge and wife Louise of Breeding, KY

  • Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers William, Kerby, Keith and Joseph and two sisters Anna Yarberry and Phyllis Fudge.

He was previously employed as a journeyman/machinist for Wisconsin Roller Products and then later became a foreman of Asplundh Tree Service. He was a member of the National Rifle Association.
