Sunday afternoon mishap causes
slowdown on LBN at mile marker 48


City of Columbia Police responded to a non-injury accident at approximatly 3:47pmCT, Sunday, August 1, 2010, on the Louie B Nunn Parkway, at the Petty's Fork Bridge just east of Mile Marker 48. The accident occurred when a 2008 Toyota Tundra pickup, pulling two camper trailers, started to weave out of control. This caused the camper trailers to overturn.

The vehicle was being operated bt David Spears Of Somerset, KY. Columbia Police officers were on the scene for approximately one hour, assisted by units of the Adair County Search and Rescue Team, as eastbound traffice was slowed and restricted to one lane. -Sgt. Jason Cross

Camper crash on LBN slows traffic at MM 48

Columbia Police and units of the Adair County Search and Rescue Team were called out Sunday, August 1, 2010, when camper trailers being pulled by an eastbound 2008 Toyota Tundra Pickup overturned just east of Mile Marker 48, between the Petty's Fork Bridge and the Columbia Western Bypass Over Pass in the middle of photo above. There were no injuries, and the parkway was cleared in approximately one hour.
