Obituary: Sharon Scott Carter, 53, Celina, TN

She was a native of Indiana and a former resident of Cumberland Co., KY. Services and interment will be in Burkesville, KY

Sharon Scott Carter, age 53 of Celina, TN formerly of Cumberland Co.,KY, passed away Friday, July 30, 2010 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at 11amCT, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. Burkesville, KY. Burial will be in Burkesville Cemetery. Visitation is after 3pmCT Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home in Burkesville, KY.



Sharon Scott Carter, formerly of Cumberland Co., KY (1957-2010)

She was born in Anderson, Madison Co., IN on Sunday, July 21, 1957. She was the daughter of the late Elmer and Nellie Christine Poindexter Scott. She died Friday, July 30, 2010, in Nashville, Davidson Co., TN, at the age of 53 years and 9 days.

She was the widow of Robert Lee Carter, and was preceded in death by four sisters, Sheila Blakley, Wendy Blakley, Sabrina Scott, and Phyllis Ann Scott.Survivors Include the following:
  • One daughter: Christina Lewis of Paragon, IN

  • One son: Ryan Shoopman of Burkesville, KY

  • One brother: Ricky Scott of Burkesville, KY

  • Five sisters: Wanda Daniels, Janine Scott, Pamela Scott, and Ocie Jewell Scott all of Celina, TN and Lorinda Key of Burkesville, KY
  • Fout grandchildren

  • and a host of other relatives and friends
Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. Burkesville, KY in charge of arrangements.
