Obituary: Alden M. Johnson, 77, Russell Springs, KY

He was a member of a respected Russell Co., KY family and of the Pine Top Church of Christ. He was a retired forklift operator and was a veteran of the U.S. Army

Alden M. Johnson, 77, Hwy 910, Russell Springs, KY, died Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at his residence.

The funeral service will be Saturday, July 31, 2010, at 10amCT, at Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 Main ST, Russell Springs, KY, with Mack Stephens, Jerry Dennison, and Tommy Nelson officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Friday, July 30, 2010, at the funeral home.

Alden M. Johnson, Russell Co., KY (1933-2010)

Alden M. Johnson was the son of the late Sylphia Hopper Johnson and Leslie Johnson. He was born Sunday, July 23, 1933, in Russell Co., KY, and died July 28, 2010, in Russell Springs, Russell Co., KY at the age of 77 years and 5 days.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Roy Johnson, Russell Springs, KY, and the following:
  • One daughter: Donna Conover, Russell Springs, KY

  • Two brothers: Bro. Cleveland (Alloise) Johnson, Russell Springs, KY; and Argust (Creolla) Johnson, Cincinnati, OH
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Adam Redmon.

He was a retired forklift operator with General Motors. He was a member of the Pine Top Church of Christ. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Bernard Funeral Home, 367 Main ST, Russell Springs, KY, in charge of arrangements.
