The COF Speaks: Triple time zones on the ridge

About: Great Time Controversy Just 3 important times

By the COF

High on the Ridge o'er Beautiful Downtown Knifley, KY -Well, finally! Mz Armitage has cast the day's worries and frets from my poor addled head. I''ve been cogitating the whole of the day trying to figure what this CST, EST and DST was all about but now it's been properly ciphered.

Here at Dun Roman (high on the ridge) when my eyes open of a morn then I knows its time to get out of the Cot. Come the evening time when I can't hold my eyes open any longer then I knows it's time to get back in the Cot. Reckon that's C-time or Cot time.

Seems like my stomach hollers about three times a day and then I know it's time to Eat, so I reckon that's E-time or Eating Time.

Now the D-time ges a little more complicated but up here that usually means hits "DOING" time and Miz Emily lets me know right proper when, what, where and how long.

As y'all can plainly see, we kinda go by the natural rhythms and therefore make use of all three times. Don't hardly ken why folks would want to do any other way.

When I ran this past a few of the folks at the KU roundtable it caused a little stir. Some lake folks from off jumped into the discussion and opined that one had to know what time it was to go to work or to get off work and what time to be at meetings and so on and on. They looked kinda quare when I opined that the time to start work was when there was work that needed done and the time to quit was when the work was done. As far as meetings, they usually start when everybody that needs to be there gets there.

I reckon that folks addicted to those electronical time pieces must get their knickers and union suits twisted up in knots when the power goes off. But that don't present much of a notice up here. If it's daytime we usually don't realize it and if it happens at night - Well that's our C-time and so it don't matter, nohow.s/COF at Dun Roman, High on a triple time zone ridge o'er Beautiful Downtown Knifley
