Fourteen (14) more items have been received for the Silent Auction at the Courthouse Cajun Dinner, Thursday Evening, July 29, 2010, at 6:30pmCT in the Christian Church Park located off Reed ST, and behind the Columbia Christian Church, 206 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY.The items are on display at the Adair County Public Library, 307 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, between now and the event. Anyone is welcome to go by the library, view the items, and make a bid. Lucky holders of sold out Cajun Courthouse Dinner Tickets will have an opportunity to bid at the dinner.

The new items include:


  1. Pontoon Boat - Choice of "custom liner" which carries 10 people or the "double decker" which holds 12 people and has a slide off the top. The boat is located at Jamestown Boat and Marina, 3677 South Highway 92, Jamestown, KY. The boat must be reserved in advance and is subject to availability. Boats are available 7 days a week 8am to 6pmCT. Recipient is responsible for fuel for the boat and must obey marina regulations. Hotel and restaurant are available at the dock. The boat rental is valid until mid-October 2010. Donated by Jamestown Boat and Marina.
  2. Giraffe Gourds - made, painted and decorated by Lila Loy
  3. Buffalo Hills, 2 lunch time meals - $15 value, donated by Buffalo Hills, 906 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY Jim and Carol Leib, owners
  4. Framed photograph - horses running across hillside in Gradyville, KY" $40 value - photograph by and donated by George Kolbenschlag
  5. Handmade basket - made and donated by Jane Grant
  6. One year membership to Adair County Genealogy Society - $15 value. donated by Genealogy Society
  7. Set of Books about Adair County - Pictorial History Vol. 2; Roots and Branches Vols. 1 & 2; Early Columbia; The Other Dan. Donated by Genealogy Society
  8. Bluegrass Cellular Duo-County Telephone, Samsung Blue Tooth Headset - $34.99 - donated by Bluegrass Cellular
  9. Personalized House Portrait - portrayed in watercolor pencils of any house in a 50 mile radius of Columbia - it will be made partially on site and finished by artist off site through photographic studies - $75 value (but really priceless) - donated by David Hennon, architect
  10. Antique Handled Basket - dated 1940 and made of willow - donated by Ernestine Bennett
  11. Memorial Coliseum Court Floor ink pen - a lasting heirloom keepsake handmade ink pen made from authentic wood from the court floor of Memorial Coliseum - donated by Fred and Peggy Spoon, Pens to Remember.
  12. Liz Claiborne Tote - large size green with tan handles and accents - donated by Lee Ann Jessee
  13. Coach money clip - brown leather magnetic money clip - donated by Lee Ann Jessee
  14. Coach wristlet purse - signature coach design, donated by Lee Ann Jessee
  15. Cuff Bracelet - silver with gold accents - donated by Ginger Swift
All items on view and available for silent bidding at the Adair County Public Library Tuesday, July 27 - Thursday, June 29, 2010 during regular library hours, at the Adair County Public Library, 307 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY. Those attending the dinner Thursday evening may bid at that time. All donated items and bids are greatly appreciated.

It's on display at the Adair County Public Library, where bids can be made; bids may also be made by those with tickets to the Cajun Courthouse Dinner on Thursday, July 29, 2010, at 6:30pmCT.
