Driver trapped in vehicle 8 hours after pre-midnight crash Passerby spotted vehicle Sunday morning at 8:20amCT. Accident occurred near Tarter's Chapel Church in northwestern Adair County. Driver airlifted from the scene by helicopter. KSP assisted by Adair EMS. Adair Sheriff's Office also on scene By TFC Billy Gregory, Public Affairs Officer Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY Columbia, KY - Trooper Kenny Perkins is investigating a collision that occurred Saturday, July 24, 2010, at approximately 11:30pmCT, on Milltown Road 12 miles west of Columbia, KY. The collision occurred when a 2001 Chevy, operated by Bridgette Wade, age 18, was traveling eastbound on Milltown Road. Wade's vehicle left the right side of the roadway, traveled through the ditch, struck a culvert and overturned. Wade was trapped in the vehicle until a passerby spotted the vehicle and notified police at approximately 8:20amCT, Sunday morning, July 25, 2010. Wade was airlifted from the scene by helicopter and transported to the University of Louisville Hospital for her injuries. Trooper Perkins was assisted at the scene by Adair County EMS.
