List of Silent Auction Items is growing

Complete List, Courthouse Cajun Dinner, Silent Auction.

The list of items for the Silent Auction at the Courthouse Cajun Dinner, is growing. Latest items to be added are:
  • Wreath or table Center Piece 15 inches in diameter. Airy with green leaves and brown tones. Donated by Ginger Swift
  • Two $25 Gift Certificates to the Creekside Nursery, Knifley RD, Columbia, KY, located about a mile from KY 55. Donated by Dick and Mary Knight
  • Limited Edition booklet by Jim Garner. Recalls the story of the Jamestown Hill Area of Columbia from 1900-1910. Not available except from the author. Donated by Vonnie Kolbenschlag.
  • Large Quilt Frame - holds quilt while it is being worked - not assembled but easily can be - donated by Don Moore and Jane Baxter Jones. (didn't place value but said that quilters will know the value)
  • $10 Gift Certificate donated by and for Daniel's Mexican Grille - to be used in any increments.



Items will be displayed starting July 27, 2010, at the Adair County Llbrary, 307 Greensburg ST, Columbia until the time of the auction. Anyone wishing to make a silent bid may stop by the library and fill out a Bid Form that will include the item name; item bid; bidder name, address and phone number. Those attending the Cajun Dinner may make their bid at that time.

The Courthouse Cajun Dinner will be at 6:30pmCT, Thursday, July 29, at the Christian Church Park located off Reed ST. Behind the Columbia Christian Church, 206 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY.

Tickets for the Cajun Dinner sold out early.

To arrange to donate an item or items for the Silent Auction, go by the Adair Public Library, 307 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, or call (270) -384-2472. The Adair Heritage Association meets each 2nd Thursday evening, at 6pmCT, at the library. The next meeting is August 12, 2010.

Adam McLean, student KRA work study and Lindsey Wilson College Bonner Leader, displays four items in the Adair Heritage Association Courthouse Silent Auction fundraiser. Items are being added daily and may be viewed and bids submitted at the Adair County Public Library beginning Tuesday, July 27, 2010 during regular library hours. The Library is located at 307 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY. Phone (270) 384-2472.
