Dunnville, KY, man arrested on gambling charges

Others arrested in KSP raid in Brownsville, KY face varying charges, including cruelty to animals, gaming, and drug charges

On Saturday July 17, 2010 a search warrant was executed at 8001 Segal Road in Brownsville, KY.

At the conclusion of the search 63 people were cited and 9 people were arrested, including a Dunnville, KY resident.



A majority of the charges were Cruelty to Animals 2nd, Promoting Gambling, Possessionof Gambling Records, Permitting Gambling and Carrying Concealed Deadly Weapon.

The following were arrested:
  • Ernesto Cruzat. Chicago, IL was arrested and charged with Cruelty to Animals 2nd andPromoting Gambling 1st.

  • Charlie Childress. Morgantown, KY was arrested and charged with Cruelty to Animals 2nd andPromoting Gambling 1st.

  • Jack D. Sawyer. Nashville, TN. was arrested and charged with Cruelty to Animals 2nd,Promoting Gambling 1st, and Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon.

  • Roger C Royston. Dunnville, KY was arrested and charged with Possession of GamblingRecords.

  • Jeffery L. Copas. Woodburn, KY was arrested and charged with Cruelty to Animals 2nd andPromoting Gambling 1st.

  • James F. Martin. Brownsville, KY was arrested and charged with Cruelty to Animals 2nd,Promoting Gambling 1st, Permitting Gambling, and Possession of Gambling Records.

  • Frank A. Martin. Brownsville, KY was arrested and charged with Cruelty to Animals 2nd andPromoting Gambling 1st.

  • Thomas R. Butler. Loretto, KY Cruelty to Animals 2nd and Conspiracy to Promote Gambling.

  • Jose Gamboa Palantine, IL was arrested and charged with Promoting Gambling 1st.
$35,000 in U S Currency, several firearms, and a marijuana growing operation was seized.
