Poetry: Adair County Prayer

Adair County Prayer
by Billy Joe Fudge
O Lord, You know our hearts and minds,
How flawed and weak we are sometimes.
You know our frailty and our vice,
And our aversion to Your advice.

You also know our hearts desire
To be set ablaze with Your Fire.
So arouse us Lord to greater heights
And illuminate our darkest nights.

Help us O Lord to mountains speak;
Make us strong, yet mild and meek.
Hearten us to not push and shove -
And fill us with Your Hope and Love.
