Obituary: George H. Branham, 79, Columbia, KY

He was a member of a respected South Adair County Family and was an Air Force Veteran who will be accorded full military honors by the US Air Force Wright-Patterson AFB

George H. Branham, 79, of Columbia, KY passed away July 15, 2010.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, July 18, 2010 at 2pmCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St. Columbia, KYwith Bro. Herbert Janes the officiating clergy. Interment in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty RD, Columbia, KY, with full military honors presented by the US Air Force Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.Visitation will be from 4pm until 8pmCT on Saturday, July 17, 2010, at the funeral home.

He was the youngest child of Rollin and Audrey Branham of the BreedingCommunity.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Kathreen Bailey Branham, and the following:
  • His brother: Nelson Branham and wife

  • Several nieces, nephews, otherrelatives

  • Special young friends: Christy and Aaron Gaskill, Ashley andMadison Holt of Texas who called him PaPa George

  • and many former Air Force friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Margaret Sparks andhusband, Lucy Claywell and husband, Ruby Claywell and husband,two infant brothers Russell Lee Branham and Alfred Ray Branham, twonephews and one niece.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
