News from the Adair Heritage Association

The Adair Heritage Association will be hosting a Silent Auction and Cajun Dinner preparedby Columbia's own culinary artist, Robert Flowers, on Thursday July 29, 2010, at 6:30pmCT in the Church Park, located directly behind the Columbia Christian Church, 206 Campbellsville ST. The park is accessed from Reed ST.

The menu includes the following:


Deep Fried Turkey. Jambalaya. Rice. Cajun Beans. Cornbread and Drink. Dessert
The dinner and silent auction are to raise money and awareness of the effort to preserve the Adair County Courthouse. A limited number of tickets are available at $10.00 per person and can be purchased at the following locations:

  • Bank of Columbia, Main Bank, 144 Public Square, Columbia, KY

  • Adair County Judge Executive Ann Melton'sOffice, Suite 1, Adair Annex, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY. Phone (270) 384-4703.

The courthouse is a wonderful and important part of the history of Columbia and Adair County.

All proceeds will be used toward the Exterior Phase (Phase I) which is to remove the 1978additions and restore the courthouse to its 1885 architectural look. Come join us and seefirsthand the exterior and landscape plans.

The Adair Heritage Association is a 501 (C) (3) nonprofit organization whose purpose is topreserve places and property that are a part of the history and life of Adair County.

All donations above the fair market value of the meal are tax exempt.
