(ADV) Myra Harrison reports from the Adair Farmers Market

The Farmer's Market is located in the parking lot of the Adair Extension Office, 409 Fairground ST, Columbia, KY. Open Tuesdays and Fridays during the garden season from 6am-10amCT

Myra Harrison has had breakfast and is now in a real nice mood, and has the good news that today, Boss Blair is down from Pellyton and has a stall set up at the Farmers' Market.

Farm fresh produce is a little better today, and things are picking up. "The rain yesterday was badly needed," Myra said. "the gardens are going to be really good now," she said.

Thanks for holding your horses until Myra ate her breakfast. Here's what she reports today:
  • Boss Blair, Pellyton, KY: Tenderette Green Beans and Brown Stick Beans.
  • Myra Harrison: Lettuce. Green Peppers. Green Beans. Broccoli
  • Darrell Bunnell, Coview Farms, Village of Coburg, KY: Will be here later, Myra said.
  • John and Joyce Wolodozko of J. & J. Produce, McGaha, KY More of the Adair County raised Celery everybody's talking about. The flavor is great. Plus: New Potatoes. Roma Beans. Cucumbers. Squash. Banana Peppers. Zucchini. Red Ripe Tomatoes Limited amount. Green Tomatoes.
  • Margie Rooks. Sano community of Adair County. Potatoes. Squash - both Yellow and Zucchini. Banana Peppers. Zucchini. Bighead Cabbage. Banana Peppers. Hot Peppers. Sweet Banana Peppers. Patty Pan Squash. And more of her wonderful Rhubarb.
