Obituary: James Earl Fields, Metcalfe Co., KY Mr. Fields was a lifelong resident of Sulphur Well, KY. He was the head of a large, respected Metcalfe Co. family, a Korean War veteran, and a retired Metcalfe County Deputy Sheriff James Earl Fields Sr. age 78 of Sulphur Well, KY died June 10, 2010 at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY. Funeral services will be 2pmCT, Saturday, June 13, 2010 at the Butler Funeral Home, 201 East ST, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Smith Cemetery at Sulphur Well. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. He was a veteran of the Korean War and retired deputy of the Metcalfe County Sheriff Department. A life long resident of Sulphur Well he loved gardening and fishing.He is survived by his companion of 17 years Brenda Page of Sulphur Well, and the following:
