Obituary: Frances Harmon, 75, Adair Co., KY

She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church and was an artist

Frances Harmon, 75 years, Byrdstown, TN, formerly of Columbia, KY passed away Monday, May 31, 2010 at 2:22amCT, at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN after an illness.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Columbia, KY The family has chosen cremation and there will be no visitation.



Frances Anthis Harmon, Adair Co., KY (1935-2010)

She was born Tuesday, February 26, 1935 in Indianapolis, Marion Co., IN. She was the daughter of the late Homer George and Ethel Clara Crane Anthis of Indiana. She died Monday, May 31, 2010 at 2:22amCT, at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Davidson Co., TN at the age of 75 years, 3 months, and 5 days.

She was preceded in death by her husband George Harmon in 1990 and by her long time companion James Shepherd in 2007

She is survived by the following:
  • One son: Larry Power, Columbia, KY
  • Three daughters: Jackie Brower of Indianpolis, IN, Cathy Sneed of Columbia, KY and Sandy Hughes of Wilsonville, AL

  • Fourteen grandchildren

  • Eleven great grandchildren
Mrs. Harmon was a member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church and an artist.

The family request expessions of sympathy be made toward the funeral expenses and they may be left at the funeral home.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, Columbia, KY in charge of arrangements.
