The Winners:
  • ANN MELTON, Republican nomination for County Judge Executive; faces Democrat Wid Harris in the fall
  • BOBBY SULLIVAN, Republican nomination for Adair County Sheriff, will face Democrat Harrison Moss in fall
  • SHEILA BLAIR, Republican nomination for Adair County Court Clerk; Democrats are not contesting
  • ERIC ANTLE, Republican nomination for Adair County Jailer; will face Democrat Rick Wilson in the fall.
  • TODD AKIN, Republican nominee for coroner. Democrats are not contesting
Winners, Party Nominations, Adair County Magisterial Districts:
First District, Republican, Harold Burton. He will face Democrat Robbie Selch in the fall; Second District, Republican Daryl Flatt, Democrat Jason Cox; Third District, Republican Sammy Baker (no Democrat filed); Fifth District, Republican Billy Dean Coffey (no Democrat filed); Sixth District, Democrat Joe Rogers (no Republican filed); Seventh District, Republican Billy Rowe (no Democrat filed)

Winners, Party Nominations, Adair County Constable Nominations:
Fourth District: Chris Janes beat incumbent Ed Wigal; Fifth District, Tim Bottoms won over Tony Rutherford; Sixth District, Incumbent Jason Rector defeated Anthony Burke.

Winners, Party Nominations, U.S. Senate nominations Adair County:
Republican Rand Paul defeated Trey Grayson in Adair Co. and won the nomination statewide;Democrat Daniel Mongiardo, 446 votes, 46.95%; to Jack Conway, 362%, 38.11% in Adair Co., but Jack Conway won statewide

While Adair County had a good turnout, Cumberland Co., KY, had by far the highest voter turnout in the 7-county region, with 59.41% of the registered voters casting ballots in the Tuesday, May 18, 2010, election:

  1. Cumberland Co., 3,052, of 5,147 registered, voted = 59.41%
  2. Russell Co., 6,364, of 12,630 registered, voted=50.38/5

  4. Green Co., 3,938, of 8,151 registered, voted 5=48.31%
  5. Adair Co., 5,564, of 12,136 registered, voted = 45.85%
  6. Casey Co., 4,639 of 10,417 registered voted = for 44.53%
  7. Taylor Co., 6,800 of 16,625 registered, voted=40.90%
