Adair Co., KY Contemporary Christian Artist Jonathan Lemmon released his new album "Mission Trip" on May 18, 2010.

Lemmon's album "Mission Trip" is a very personal and intimate record. In September of 2009, inspired by his mother's, Diane Lemmon's, fatal illness, Jonathan was forced to cancel his plans for a yearlong mission obligation. However, he chose to use this experience to fulfill his desire to be a missionary. This album is his personal effort to encourage others to do the same no matter where they are in their own life.

Mission Trips not always about flying to a foreign country

Jonathan said, "A mission trip isn't just about getting on a plane and flying to a foreign country. While that's amazing it's not what it's all about. A mission trip can be as simple as walking to the end of your driveway and telling someone else about the love of Jesus Christ."

The album contains not only a fresher version of his hit, "Tell Them", but also some very personal music inspired by his mother and the children he works with. Each track is its own unique pop/ rock anthem for Jesus Christ. Back in November of 2008 Jonathan recorded his first Extended Play album and toured across much of Kentucky playing at local churches. He also appeared on WBKO 13 that December. Then life took him to North Carolina, where he has continued to pursue his music ministry.

Day job is working with chronically ill children

He has been in and out of the recording studio in Greensboro, NC for the past year, when not involved with his day job, in which he serves another passion of his, helping children with chronic medical conditions and serious illnesses.

Jonathan provides programming for these children, which allows them to escape from their reality for a few moments and have fun to their heart desires. However, this, too, plays a vital role in the music side of his life.

Jonathan says, "God speaks to me through the lives that I have the privilege to encounter, and hopefully the songs that come from it will speak to someone else who might be going through the same thing."

He's thankful for hometown support
Lemmon is very thankful for all of his hometown support and hopes that Adair Countians will keep in touch with him and his new music at www.myspace.com/jonathanlemmon and www.jonathanlemmon.com.

Starting May 18, 2010, "Mission Trip" was available for digital purchase on both iTunes and Amazon.com. It can also be ordered in CD format from Amazon.com.
