Obituary: Annie Dean Wheat, 58, Adair Co., KY

She was a member of a large, highly regarded Columbia family. She was a member of the Second Christian Church and was formerly employed by the City of Louisville and the Hopkinsville School System

Annie Dean Wheat, 58, Louisville, KY, formerly of Adair Co., KY, died Friday, May 14, 2010, at her residence.

The funeral service will be Friday, May 21, at 1pmCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, with Rev. Joseph Payne officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 4125 Johnson Schoolhouse RD, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 6pmCT, Thursday, May 20, 2010, at the funeral home.



Annie Dean Wheat, Adair Co., KY (1951-2010)

She was a daughter of the late Robert Wheat, Sr., and Mary Lee Ewing Wheat. She was born Monday, June 18, 1951, in Columbia, Adair Co., KY, and died Friday, May 14, 2010, in Louisville, Jefferson Co., KY, at the age of 58 years, 10 months, and 26 days.

She was a member of the Second Christian Church, and was formerly employed by the City of Louisville and Hopkinsville School System.She is survived by the following:
  • Two sons: Tershera C. Curry, Madison, IN; and Marquis J. Curry, Campbellsville, KY

  • One brother: William R. Wheat, Columbia, KY

  • Three sisters: Vivian Rowe, Elizabethtown, KY; and Euline Bowe and Della Hughes, both of Columbia, KY

  • Two grandchildren:

  • Several nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters: Robert Wheat, Jr; Joan Claiborne, Mary Jones, Joyce Wheat, and Roberta Wheat.

Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
